TDEG CONSISTENCY TROPHIES

The aim of these perpetual trophies is to recognise Club members who have performed consistently at a given training level at Club competition days throughout the year.

The trophy point system works in a similar way to the official dressage grading system, with points from 6 - 1 being awarded for placing in events. For example:

1st = 6 points
2nd = 5 points
3rd = 4 points
4th = 3 points
5th = 2 points
6th = 1 point

Only the best 3 scores for a horse and rider combination achieved over the Club's competitons are considered (February, March, May, August and October). In the case of the 2 day competition in May then points can be accrued on each day (ie, a possible 2 scores can be achieved from that one weekend).There are some differences from the EFA trophy points system. For example,a percentage over 55% does not need to be achieved to accrue the points. There is also no weighting attached to the May competition scores although it is a regional championship. In the case of a tied result the highest average % achieved by the combination will decide the result.

The perpetual trophies available are:

• Rhonda Kath Official Preliminary Trophy donated by Dr Grace Pretty, Kerri-Lee Paul and Gitte Doberck in memory of their coach and friend Rhonda Kath
• Elite Warmbloods Official Novice Trophy donated by Peter and Karen Crommelin of Elite Warmbloods
• Kinnordy Stud Official Elementary Trophy donated by Holger and Melanie Schmorl of Kinnordy Stud
• Blanchview Farm Official Medium Trophy donated by Dr Greg and Mrs Connie Bookless
• Toowoomba Eye Clinic Associate Trophy donated by Dr Keith and Mrs Tracy Zabell
• Kenammer Equestrian Centre Associate Novice Trophy donated by Dr Karen Knight Mudie
• Mobil Chinchilla Associate Elementary Trophy donated by Sean and Cheryl Williams
• Dr Kym Palmer's High Achievement Thoroughbred Horse donated by Dr Kym Palmer
• Remi Stud High Achievement Warmblood Horse doanted by Mike and Cheryl O'Brien of Remi Stud
• Brad Drennan High Achievement Junior Award donated by Brad Drennan Farrier

Thank you to all these sponsors and all Club members should recognise and support their contribution in helping to improve the TDEG and the benefits membership of it bring to you.

One of the main aims of introducing the trophy system in 2002 was to encourage Club members to support Club competition days and to bring a sense of history to the Club. Each year the trophy has recorded on it the winning horse and rider names and the year it was awarded. Over time these trophies become a part of the Clubs' history.

The trophies are presented at the Club's Christmas breakup function held at the end of the year. The winner keeps the trophy for that year and must return it to the Club prior to the next years funtion. A small keeper trophy will be presented to the trophy winner at the following years function.

BLANCHVIEW FARM
2006 TDEG Inc. Rider Achievement Medals

For the competition year commencing in 2006, TDEG Inc. will again be offering an award system to recognise rider achievements at her/his own competition level. Riders will become eligible for a "Rider Achievement Medal" at the relevant level at which they compete, whether in Official or Assoicate classes and at whatever levelt hey ride - Preliminary to Grand Prix. Rider Achievement Medals are generously being sponsored by Connie Bookless of Blanchview Farm.

Rider Achievement Medal Levels:
Bronze - achieving a score of 55% - 59%
Silver - achieving a score of 60% - 64%
Gold - achieving a score of 65% +

Eligibility - all financial TDEG Club members are eligible.

Riders need only achieve the relevant score once at any particular level at any Official or Associate competition judged by NJAS judges (not restricted to TDE competitions). Freestyle competitions are excluded.

At least one month prior to the next AGM you may apply for a Medal by completing the relevant form and as proof of your eligibility send this to TDEG Inc. with a copy of your test sheet or performance card showing the highest % you obtained at the highest level you competed.

Once you have achieved your Medal at a certain level it is not repeated. For example, if you have gained your Silver Novice Rider Achievement Medal you do not apply for a medal at Bronze level.

As this is a Rider Achievement Medal it is not relevant which horse you are competing on. The purpose of the medal is to acknowledge the rider's proficency. 2003 medals will be awarded for tests completed in 2002 and 2003. However, in future years, eligibility will be only for tests completed during that competition year.

This is a great initiative for TDEG Inc. Club members to record and celebrate their achievements as riders at the end of each competition year. Medals will b epresented annually at the TDEG Inc. Annual Presentation and Awards Evening.

Start planning your training and competition program now. Make sure you renew your club membership for 2006 in order to be eligible for your TDEG Inc. Blanchview Farm Rider Achievement Medal and the wonderful array of Consistency Trophies the Club now has.
